I'm guessing the allegedly stolen golf cart, above, was returned to its owner in a little worse condition that it was in when it disappeared.

Coffee County investigators have arrested a 36-year-old female after a golf cart with an estimated value of over $5,000 was taken from a residence in the Green Acres community earlier this year.

Deputies responded to a home on Ramblewood Road around 7:30 a.m., January 18, in reference to a possible theft of an EZ GO golf cart. The victim stated he believed the vehicle had been taken some time during the previous night. A subsequent investigation by Coffee County detectives led to the Monday arrest (March 20) of Valarie Christa Cox, who was located in Berrien County with the assistance of the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office. The stolen golf cart has been returned to the owner.

Cox has been charged with one count of felony theft by taking in regards to the incident and has also been charged on a probation violation. She remains in the Coffee County Jail.
