Stevie Young, Director of the Douglas-Coffee County Parks and Recreation Department, was the speaker at the Douglas Kiwanis Club meeting of Tuesday the 21st of March at the Flyin’ Cowboy restaurant. He spoke about the Miracle League which works to remove the barriers that keep children with mental and physical disabilities off the baseball field and allows them to experience playing as part of a team. He also covered in depth the proposal to build a Miracle Field at Davis Wade Park.
The Kiwanis club members enjoyed and appreciated his presentation.
