An Alma man has been arrested on pornography and child exploitation charges.
The Alma Police Department reports that on Thursday evening, May 26, the Criminal Investigative Division and Crime Suppression Unit arrested Franklin David McCrea, 49 of Alma, for computer pornography and child exploitation. On Monday, May 22, APD and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation executed a search warrant on the law office of McCrea. Officers seized several computers for forensic evaluation. On Thursday, May 26, APD arrested McCrea without incident.
On May 23, APD reported the arrest of Christopher Dean Dyal, 32 of Douglas, for burglary. On Thursday, May 26, APD executed a search warrant at a home on Blue Bell Drive, recovering almost all of the $17,000 worth of personal property reportedly taken by Dyal.
