Mrs. Elizabeth Burnam Parker, age 59, of Douglas passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 14, 2017 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born January 28, 1958 to the late William L. Burnam and the late Shirley Tanner Lott. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Anita Faye Burch and brother-in-law, Tony Parker.

Elizabeth had worked as a L.P.N. at Coffee Regional Medical Center and also at Dr. Leon M. Armoreda’s office. She also had been employed with the City of Douglas Water Department as a Water Analysis Specialist. She was a member of New Harmony Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include: her husband, Ray L. Parker of Douglas, GA; son, Ryan (Amanda) Parker of Bloomingdale, GA; daughter, Rebekah Parker of Louisville, KY; granddaughter, Colbie Parker of Bloomingdale, GA; brothers, Lowell (Sylvia) Burnam and Danny Lott both of Douglas, GA; sisters-in-law: Kay (Bervon) Wilkinson of Douglas, GA, Joyce (Owen) Edmonston of Daytona Beach, FL and Denise Brogan of Louisville, KY; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held on June 17, 2017 at 2 p.m. at New Harmony Grove Baptist Church in Atkinson County with Rev. Jamey Smith and Rev. Ernest Crussell officiating. Interment followed in Harmony Grove Cemetery.

Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
