WILLIE SPENCE, OUR OWN SUPER STAR!
Congratulations to Willie Spence for getting a once in a lifetime opportunity to be on the Steve Harvey Show. Willie has been an active member of the Coffee County 4-H Club for eight years. He has competed in 4-H Project Achievement competition in the performing arts project for seven years and been a member of Georgia 4-H’s premier performing arts group, Clovers & Co., for seven years. Coffee County 4-H is honored to have such a talented up and coming star. Keep up the good work Willie. We are very proud of you.

JUNIOR AND SENIOR 4-H CAMPS
Summer 4-H camp sign-up will begin in January. A $100 deposit will be required at sign-up. Start saving your money now so you can pay your deposit when you sign up.
Dates and costs for Junior and Senior 4-H camps are: Junior Camp, Fortson 4-H Center, June 25-29, $365; Wilderness Challenge Camp, Wahsega 4-H Center, July 2-6, $370; Marine Resource Camp, Burton 4-H Center on Tybee Island, July 16-20, $330; Senior 4-H Camp, Rock Eagle 4-H Center, July 2-6, $360; and Senior Extreme Camp, Rock Eagle 4-H Center Pioneer Camp, June 18-22, $350. There may be an additional cost for each camp for transportation expenses. Be sure you have these dates on your calendar if you are interested in attending.
Summer camps are tons of fun and you learn so much as well as make a lot of new friends.
We are still working on the plans for Cloverleaf 4-H Camp for fourth to sixth graders, but we do know that this camp will be at the newly renovated Camp Jekyll on Jekyll Island the week of June 4-8. Cost is still to be determined, but we anticipate it will be around $380 with a $100 deposit due at sign up as well.

JUNIOR/SENIOR DISTRICT PROJECT ACHIEVEMENT
Junior and Senior 4-H members are reminded that FINAL portfolio copies for DPA are due on Friday, Dec. 15. Portfolios count for 40 percent of Junior DPA scores and 50 percent of Senior DPA scores. DPA will be held on Friday through Sunday, Feb. 9-11, at the Rock Eagle 4-H Center. Be sure you have these dates saved on your calendar.

COCA-COLA FUNDRAISER
4-H members interested in attending summer 4‑H camp should take advantage of the second 4‑H Coca-Cola Truckload Sale. It began on Monday, Nov. 27 and will end on Monday, Dec. 18. All orders and moneys are due by 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 18.
The drinks will be ready for pick up at the 4-H office on Wednesday, Jan. 3, between 2 and 4 p.m. at the 4-H office. Remember, 4-H members get $3 per case sold toward their summer camp fee. So, the more you sell, the less you have to pay to go to summer camp.

SENIOR WALL CHALLENGE
Graduating seniors, you have the opportunity to leave a lasting record of your 4-H involvement by having your name engraved on a plaque that will be hung in the Senior Pavilion at Rock Eagle 4-H Center. If you are interested please fill out the form with a $35 fee by Dec. 1.
If you would like to learn how you can become more involved with the Coffee County 4-H program, please contact the Coffee County Extension office at (912) 384-1402 or visit our website at http://coffee4h.org.
