Mrs. Juanita Anne Thacker Ragan, age 80, of Thomasville, GA passed away early Tuesday morning, February 13, 2018 at Baptist Village Nursing Home in Waycross, following an extended illness. She was born March 1, 1937 to the late Carl Dixon Thacker and the late Sarah Hunt Thacker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Franklin Rudolph Ragan.

Mrs. Ragan, a native of Atlanta, GA, was a retired Registered Nurse. She was one of the first Physicians Assistants in Georgia. She retired from Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, GA. She was of the Methodist Faith.

Survivors include: children: Deborah Ann Schoepke and her husband Kip of Doraville, GA, Carl Franklin Ragan and his wife Tammy of Douglas, GA and Laura Jon Hall and her husband Jeff of Albany, GA.; brother, John Thacker and his wife Sondra of Watkinsville, GA.; grandchildren: Elizabeth Treat and her husband Dustin of Thomasville, GA Sarah Robinson and her husband Josh and Wendy Lester all of Albany, GA, Carl Ragan, Jr. and Jesse Ragan both of Douglas, GA and Kevin Milner and his wife Jesenia of Ft. Sill, Oklahoma; 6 great grandchildren; a special friend, Kathy Miller of Quitman, GA.; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The graveside service will be Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Broxton City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Ricketson Funeral Home on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from Noon to 2 p.m.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
