The South Georgia BBQ and Outdoor Festival will be held at Douglas Municipal Gene Chambers Airport on Hwy. 441 South in Douglas, September 7, 2018 from 1-10 p.m. and September 8, 2018 9 a.m.-5 p.m. To offset some event expenses, organizers are seeking sponsorships from businesses and community partners.

“We are looking for sponsors who want to help grow this festival for Douglas-Coffee County and our region,” says Georgia Henderson, Community Development Director. “It takes a great community effort to be able to grow this event each year as well as attract a large attendance. As in the past with other festivals & events, we want to offer a variety of exhibitors, educational opportunities, great food and fun activities for all ages.”

Based on previous festival attendance, the South Georgia BBQ & Outdoor Festival (SGBOF) is averaging 4,500 attendees each year. Sponsorships are an affordable for way for businesses to market themselves. Offering various monetary levels, being a SGBOF sponsor can offer businesses a unique way to showcase the company. Sponsorship benefits can be adjusted to fit the needs of any business while building relationships within the community of Douglas and Coffee County.

Event organizers are planning a festival packed with a combination of events that will include GBA BBQ Competition with a grand prize of $5,000, Helping Hands Bikers Dice Run and “Battle of the Bikes” Motorcycle Show, NAPA/Brooks Auto Parts Car Show, a FREE Friday night outdoor concert, special demonstrations and workshops, kids play area, food vendors, general & arts/craft vendors, hunting & fishing gear/apparel, motorcycle/car accessories, and more!

If you are interested in sponsorship, please contact Georgia Henderson at (912)383- 0277, ghenderson@cityofdouglas.com, or Terrell Jacobs, at (912)389-3401, tjacobs@cityofdouglas.com.
