Coffee Regional Medical Center (CRMC) has named Aristotle Cochon, MD as their new chief medical officer. Dr. Cochon will provide medical expertise and leadership to his peers, ensuring the continual delivery of quality healthcare in his new role as chief medical officer. He will work as a key member of senior leadership at CRMC, providing clinical direction for ongoing quality improvement and development projects.

In addition to his new chief medical officer position, Dr. Cochon will continue to serve as Director of Hospitalist Medicine here at CRMC. His work as a hospitalist, and extensive knowledge of acute care in the hospital environment, gives him unique perspective and qualification to fulfill this new role.

The chief medical officer has a leadership role and is tasked with working closely with all clinicians in the hospital environment, ensuring they all understand and follow recognized standards of care. This is a vital role in a hospital setting as it ensures patient safety.
About Aristotle Cochon, M.D.: After graduating from medical school at University of the East, Quezon City, Philippines, Dr. Cochon completed his residency at Coney Island Hospital in June 2010. He continued his medical education at Staten Island University Hospital where he did a fellowship in Geriatrics. After concluding his fellowship, he worked with Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Waycross, Ga before joining CRMC in 2016.
