Master Herman “Tres” Kight, III, age 3 of Broxton, GA passed away early Friday morning, July 20, 2018, at Navicent Health Medical Center in Macon, GA following complications from hypoplastic left heart syndrome. “Tres” was born March 7, 2015, to Herman “Buzz” and Chrissy Purvis Kight. He was preceded in death by: his maternal grandfather, Ronald “Poppie” Purvis; paternal grandfathers: Herman Kight and Gooney Andrews.

Survivors include: his parents: Hermon “Buzz” and Chrissy Purvis Kight of Broxton, GA.; brother, Dakoda Kight and special friend Britney Fisher of Blackshear, GA.; maternal grandmother: Doris Evalin “MeMe” Purvis; paternal grandmother, Joanne “NaNa” Andrews of Pridgen, GA.; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The funeral service was held Sunday afternoon, July 22, 2018, at 5 P.M. at West Green Church of God where Rev. Hugh Anderson officiated. The interment followed at Lone Hill Cemetery where Rev. Pet Hayes conducted the graveside service. 

Active Pallbearers were: Jamie Kight, Dakoda Kight, Tyler Youngblood, Jonathan Purvis and Herman “Buzz” Kight.

Honorary Pallbearers were: Kevin Wise, George Andrews, B. J. Kight, Kevin Harper, Dewayne Purvis and Donnie Purvis.

Special Musical Selections, “God on the Mountain” was presented by the McKaney’s by CD music and “Fathers and Sons” was presented by CD Music. At the Graveside, “The Lacs”, “Dirt Road Dollars” and “Kicking up Mud” were rendered by Taped Music. “Pre-Lude” and “Post-Lude” soft hymns were rendered by the pianist, Susan Kight.

Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
