Mrs. Bobbie Jean Dixon Porter, age 77 of Douglas, passed away early Sunday morning, December 23, 2018 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Porter was born May 12, 1941 to the late Spud Dixon and the late Eula Whitted Bow. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Dixon.

Mrs. Porter was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: Husband Nathan Porter of Douglas; children Terry Gibbons of Phoenix City, Ala., Scott Gibbons of Columbus, Randy Gibbons of Phoenix City, Ala., and Paula Gibbons of Columbus; sisters Joanie Bow of Michigan, Debbie Bow of New Caney, Texas; and Patsy Bow of New Caney, Texas; grandchild Tiffany Gibbons of Douglas; great grandchildren Tierany Griffin and Kaden Barwick, both of Douglas; great great grandchild Adalynn Hernandaz of Douglas; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The memorial service and inurnment will be held at a later date.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
