Charles H. “Scooter Bill” Deen, age 71, of Broxton, passed away on Wednesday April 25, 2019. Mr. Deen was born on October 28, 1947 in Ben Hill County, the son of the late Carl Houston Deen, and the late Evelyn Smith Kight.

He was the owner and operator of Midway Truck Parts and was a member of the Coffee County Commission serving District 5.

Survivors include his saughter, Serena Parker (Keith) of Moultrie; son, Kurt Deen of Douglas; brother, Craig Deen of Broxton; sister, Molly Hinson of Hazelhurst; half-brothers, Brian Deen of West Green and Bruce Deen of West Green; step-brother, Ricky Solomon of West Green and step-sister, Susan Solomon Kight, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Linda Jean Adams Deen; his father, Carl Houston Deen; and his mother, Evelyn Smith Kight.

Funeral services were held on Sunday April 28, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Reedy Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Den Weniger officiating. Interment followed at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
