Wiregrass Tech to host career exploration camp

Wiregrass Tech to host career exploration camp

Parents may register students for Wiregrass’ Career Exploration Camp happening this June at the Coffee Campus of Wiregrass Georgia Technical College. The camp will be open for upcoming 5th – 8th graders. 

The Career Exploration Camp will be held June 11 and 13 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.  The cost of the camp is $45 and includes all class materials.  Each day students will explore a different career field.  Tuesday, June 11 is Cosmetology, where students will learn how to perform manicures and pedicures.  On Wednesday, June 12 students can choose between Criminal Justice where they would learn about crime scene investigations, or Early Childhood Care where they will design a bulletin board.  The last day, Thursday, June 13, is Technical and Industrial where they will learn how robots, electronics, and other cutting-edge technologies are used to design and build everyday objects.  The cost for the camp is $45; if your child is interested in attending only one of these, please call 229-333-2100, ext. 1379 for details.
