Satilla Regional Library announces summer reading performances

Satilla Regional Library will be holding the following Summer Reading Program performances in June and July. For more information about upcoming children’s, tween, and teen programs please call Julie M. Summer Reading Program

Monday, June 3-Thursday, July 25, 2019

Mark your calendars! Summer Reading Program 2019 will be held Monday, June 3, 2019 through Thursday, July 25, 2019! Sign-up will start on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at all Satilla Regional Library locations in Douglas, Broxton, Ambrose, Pearson, Willacoochee and Nicholls.

June Performers

Each performer will be visiting Douglas and Atkinson County every Wednesday in Douglas at 11:00 a.m. and alternating between Pearson and Willacoochee locations at 2:30 p.m. (except the week of Monday, July 1-6) when we have Teddy Bear Picnics in Douglas, Pearson and Willacoochee.

Wednesday, June 5, 2019: Ron Anglin, Quite a Catch Juggling

Launching Props in Space

Location: Douglas at 11:00 a.m. and Pearson at 2:30 p.m.

After our first performance on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 we will have a pizza party immediately following in the Large Meeting Room in Douglas and the Multi-Purpose Room in Pearson.

Wednesday, June 12, 2019: Fiddlin Dan Goes to Outer Space Music Show

Locations: Douglas at 11:00 a.m. and Willacoochee at 2:30 pm.

Wednesday, June 19, 2019: Chehaw Animal Park Animal Show

Locations: Douglas at 11:00 a.m. and Pearson at 2:30 p.m.

Wednesday, June 26, 2019: Bits n’ Pieces Puppet Theatre and Puppet World Playhouse

The Selfish Giant’s Garden

Locations: Douglas at 11:00 a.m. and Willacoochee at 2:30 p.m.

July Performers

Wednesday, July 10, 2019:  5, 2019: Lee Andrews, Children’s Comedian

Lew-E’s U.F.O Show

Location: Douglas at 11:00 a.m. & Pearson at 2:30 p.m.

Wednesday, July 17, 2019: Mark Alan, Magician

Space Comedy Magic Show

Locations: Douglas at 11:00 a.m. and Willacoochee at 2:30 pm.

After our performance in Willacoochee on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 we will have an ice cream party immediately following in the meeting room in Willacoochee.

Wednesday, July 24, 2019: Dewayne Reynolds, Balloon Engineer

Dr. Magical Balloons: Big Balloon Show

Locations: Douglas at 11:00 a.m. and Pearson at 2:30 p.m.

After the performance in Douglas on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, there will have an ice cream party immediately following in the large meeting room in Douglas.
