Sherry Jeanine Morgan, age 61, of Douglas, passed away on Monday July 22, 2019 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Morgan was born on September 5, 1957 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the daughter of Carolyn Jean Courson Clemons and the late Albert Lillard Clemons.

She worked as a nurse at Coffee Regional Medical Center and was of the Pentecostal faith.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marla Hursey, and a brother, Bobby Clemons.

Survivors include two daughters, Katelyn Sharee Abel (husband Dustin) of Douglas and Abigail Marie Carver (husband Michael) of West Green; mother, Jean Clemons of Douglas; sister, Sabrina Carver (husband James) of Douglas; brother, Lewis Clemons (wife Melanie) of Patterson; nine grandchildren, Austin Hendrickson, Camron Henrickson, Raylyn Carver, Anbree Hursey, Alexis Carver, Peighten Carver, Aven Abel, Paislee Carver and M.J. Carver; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Friday July 26, 2019 at 11 am in the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Cochran and Rev. Kevin Bounds officiating. Interment will follow at Satilla Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 pm until 9 pm at Sims Funeral Home.

Sims Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
