Mr. Richard Warren “Dick” Tyler

Mr. Richard Warren “Dick” Tyler, age 82 of Douglas, passed away early Thursday morning, August 29, 2019 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Tyler was born November 25, 1936 to the late Wesley Tyler and the late Zelda Vaughn Tyler. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Earle Tyler, and a sister, Linda Gail Shivers. 

Mr. Tyler was a native of Tampa, Fla. He had retired as a machinist with ABB Electrical Corporation of Sanford, Fla. He was a US Air Force veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda McClelland Tyler of Douglas; daughter Stacy Gloria of Dallas, Texas; step-daughters Dawn Dolgner of Douglas and Sherri Tabb of O’Steen, Fla.; sister Pat McCullough of Opelika, Ala.; six grandchildren and three great –grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The graveside service and interment will be Saturday morning August 31, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Rocky Pond Cemetery with Rev. Lonnie Spikes officiating. 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
