Satilla Regional Library hosts Art in the Library in October

Satilla Regional Library is havingArt in the Library!  The library is pleased to offer its inauguralfall art exhibit to the public.  The library will have a reception, with light refreshments, at the Douglas-Coffee County Headquarters Library on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M.

The inaugural artist is Harvey Williams.  Harvey Williams is a pastor, published author of five books, columnist and staff writer for the Atkinson County Citizen newspaper, coin collector (coin collections displayed in five of the six Satilla Regional Library branches) and amateur wildlife photographer. Wildlife photography is his way of staying in touch with nature. Photography, over all, is a means of capturing and memorializing the moment. Photography is best described as, “The camera merely captures what the mind sees and the heart feel.”
