Maria Annette Hires, age 65, of Nicholls, Georgia passed away on Monday, February 10, 2020 at Memorial Health Hospital, Savannah, Georgia. Mrs. Hires was born on March 20, 1954 in Jacksonville, Florida, the daughter of the late Donald Johns and the late Ida Lou Hunter Johns.
Mrs. Hires was a homemaker and was of the Church of God faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Michelle Hires.
Survivors include her son, Gary Hires Jr (Merrilea) of Valdosta, GA; three grandchildren, Cameron Ethan Hires, Logan Hires and Alexia Grace Hires; brother, Donald Whitman (Teresa) of Yulee, FL; special friend, Gary Hires Sr. of Nicholls, GA; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, February 13, 2020 from 6pm until 8pm at Sims Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 14, 2020 at 1:00pm at Roxie Mae Cemetery with Rev. Donnie Thomas officiating.
