In an effort to try to contain the health risks associated with COVID-19 and to adhere guidelines set forth by the Executive Order (4-8-2020) from Governor Brian Kemp, the City of Douglas will postpone its regular City Commission meetings scheduled for April 13, 2020 and April 27, 2020.   Any agenda items expected to be discussed during the April meetings will be rescheduled to a later date.

The City of Douglas and Transwaste’s residential Junk Drop-Off Day, scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2020 has also been cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns.  At the current time, the next tentative date will be Saturday, May 2, 2020 at the City Pole Yard located at 670 S. Pearl Avenue from 8:30am-noon, however that may change due to COVID-19.

For more information, please call (912) 384-3302 or dial 3-1-1.
