Ms. Opal Lynn Peterson, age 52 of Douglas, passed away Monday morning, June 29, 2020 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, following a short illness. Ms. Peterson was born October 29, 1967 to Opal Sutton Peterson and the late Roy Earl Peterson.
Ms. Peterson, a native of Coffee County, was employed in Quality Assurance at Pilgrim’s Pride in Douglas.
Survivors include: Sons Brandon Earl Williams and Jimmy Shane Logue both of Douglas, GA; mother Opal Sutton Peterson of Douglas, GA; brothers Johnny Keith Youngblood and Joe Kenneth Youngblood both of Douglas, GA; grandchildren Levi Roy Williams, Hailey Elizabeth Beasley and Jolynn Williams all of Douglas, GA; special friend Tabatha Pester of Fitzgerald, GA; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The memorial service will be held Sunday afternoon, July 5, 2020 at 3:30 P.M. at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home.
