Victor Lamar “Skeeter” Cady, 64

Victor Lamar “Skeeter” Cady, age 64, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Skeeter was born on July 2, 1956 in Irwin County, Georgia the son of Randolph Cady and the late Odessa McNeese Cady.

 

Skeeter worked as an electrician technician with Hill Electric and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Marshall Cady and Sidney C. Cady.

 

Skeeter lived with his special uncle and aunt, Gordon & Clayrice Hill for over 30 years.

 

Survivors include his father and step-mother, Randolph and Glenna Cady of Cooksville, TN; nephew, Zach Cady of Douglas, GA; special caregiver, Leigh Ann Taylor; four special cousins, Reese Hill, Rian Hill, Ansleigh Hill and Addison Taylor.

 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 4:00pm at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Mercer officiating. Interment will follow at Deberry Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 3pm until 4pm prior to the service at Sims Funeral Home.  Pallbearers will be Randy Brigmond, Daniel Lavender, Rian Hill, Reese Hill, Sidney Meeks and John Sturgis.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Those in attendance are requested to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
