Nina Faye “Nug” Corbitt, 64

Nina Faye “Nug” Corbitt, age 64, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Friday, October 30, 2020 from injuries sustained from an auto accident. Nina was born on December 28, 1955 in Willacoochee, Georgia, the daughter of the late Steve Daniel “Mann” Corbitt and Gladys Irene Deaton Corbitt.

 

Nina was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Tammy Myers and a brother, Ricky Corbitt.

 

Survivors include two brothers, Danny Corbitt (Kathy) of West Green, GA and Glenn Corbitt (Regina) of Broxton, GA; sister, Brenda Kay Smith of West Green, GA; special friend, Roberto; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at 2:00pm at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Bounds and Rev. Craig Jump officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Hill Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Russell Giddens, Cole Giddens, Scott Stapleton, Ronald Corbitt, Lee Steverson and Brian Graham.

 

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, November 3, 2020 from 6pm until 9pm at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all guests and attendees to wear appropriate medical grade face-masks and maintain social distancing at all times while visiting our facility, and highly encouraged at our services outside of our facility.  Masks are not provided.
