Ann Hayes Carver, age 80, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020 at The Landings. Mrs. Carver was born on June 8, 1940 in Newnan, Georgia the daughter of the late Amos Errett Hayes and Kathryn Johnson Hayes.

 

Mrs. Carver was a graduate of Georgia State University, retired mortgage loan officer, and was a member of First Congregational Christian Church, Douglas, Georgia.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Garland E. Carver.

 

Survivors include two daughters, Carin White (Robin) of Douglas, GA and Kathy Fender (Jeff) of Tifton, GA; son, Garland “Sonny” Carver (Amanda) of Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren, Dale Fender of Tifton, GA, Whitney Buenrostro (Raul) of Douglas, GA, Ansley Fender of Tifton, GA and Will Fender (Ivy) of Tifton, GA; two great grandchildren, Trenton Fender and Chapel Fender both of Tifton, GA; three sisters-in-law, Dot Dickson of Douglas, GA, Inez Carver of McDonough, GA and Eloise Ragsdale of Douglas, GA; several nieces and nephews.

 

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorialization is by cremation.

 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to, First Congregational Christian Church Building Fund, N. Madison Ave.,Douglas, GA 31533 or Building Guate PO Box 87458, College Park, GA 30337 (www.buildinguate.net).

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
