Mr. Ronald Ray Cartee, age 73 of Millwood, GA passed away Wednesday morning, November 11, 2020 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a short illness. Mr. Cartee was born August 28, 1947 to the late Clarence J. Cartee and the late Thelma Jenkins Cartee. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Cartee, and a brother, Donald Dale Cartee.

Mr. Cartee, a native of Greenville, SC, had been employed in construction with Daniel Construction Company, JP Stevens and Dunean Mills. He was a family man and was loved deeply by all his grandchildren. Mr. Cartee was a member of Douglas Christian Fellowship Church.

Survivors include:

His wife: Jackie Ann Hursey Cartee of Millwood, GA

Step-children: Jan Thomas and husband Michael of Douglas, GA
Andy Smith and wife Becky of Millwood, GA
Wendy Silvers of Alabama

 

Sister: Linda C. Sprouse of Greenville, SC

Step-grandchildren: Shafton Thomas and wife Amy, Rhett Thomas, Kara Beth Smith, Makayla Smith and fiancee JT Carlin, Austin Smith, Addabeth Smith, Avery Claire Smith, Rhonda Cooks and Nichole Cooks.

Several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

The memorial service will be Sunday afternoon, November 15, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Douglas Christian Fellowship Church with Rev. Heath Wingard, Rev. Leroy Spivey and Rev. John Williams officiating.

The family will receive friends, Sunday afternoon, November 15, 2020 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at Douglas Christian Fellowship Church.

Memorialization is by cremation.


Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
