John E. Lee, Jr, age 81 of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center Riverside, Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Lee was born on January 6, 1940 in Coffee County, Georgia the son of the late John Estel and Nealie Cole Lee Sr.

 

Mr. Lee was a retired high school teacher, teaching at Forest High School and was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Jacksonville, Florida.

 

Survivors include his wife, Linda Lee of Jacksonville, FL; 3 daughters, Tammy Solomon (Kenneth) of Jacksonville, FL, Brenda Goblet (Terry) of Jacksonville, FL and, Diane Turner (Michael) of Yulee, FL; sister, Angela Gibbs of Nicholls, GA; 6 grandchildren, Chelsea Solomon, Haley Solomon, Ethan Solomon, Charlie Williams, John Turner and, Joseph Turner; 1 great grandchild, Lucas Wheat; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends Friday, July 30, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Saginaw Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. L.G. Aldridge officiating. Pallbearers will be Joseph Turner, John Turner, Ethan Solomon, Jackie Fred Smith, Jacob Smith, Jared Weeks and Kenneth Solomon.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
