Mrs. Sandra Stone Hawkins, age 59 of Pearson, Ga. passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at her home.  Born July 24, 1962, in Homerville, Ga. to Ervin Stone and Florine Hutchison, Mrs. Hawkins made her home in the Atkinson and Clinch County areas.  She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, arts and crafts and especially taking care of her family and spending time with them.  Mrs. Hawkins was preceded in death by her parents.

 

Survivors include:

 

2 Daughters:  Crystal Bennett and husband, Randall of Millwood, Ga.

                     Jessica Roberts and husband, Sean of Lakeland, Ga.

 

2 Brothers:  J.E. Stone of Pearson, Ga.

                  Junior Stone and wife, Pat of Pearson, Ga.

 

2 Sisters:  Sylvia Walker and husband, Johnny of Enigma, Ga.

                Marion Merver of Pearson, Ga.

 

5 Grandchildren, 3 Step-Grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

 

Graveside services for Mrs. Hawkins were held Friday, September 24, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. J.A. Anderson officiating.  Special musical selections included, “Go Rest High on that Mountain” and “If Heaven” both rendered by cd.  The interment followed in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

 

Serving as active pallbearers included:  Myron Stone, Jason Troupe, Buddy Taft, Chip Hancock, Anthony Funderburk and Devin Bennett.

 

Relihan Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
