Mr. Darrell Wayne White, age 65 of Axson, Ga. passed away, Friday, October 15, 2021, at Coffee Regional Medical Center Douglas, Ga. following a brief illness.  Born in Homerville, Ga. on November 1, 1955, the son of James and Lillie Hulett White, he worked as a supervisor with Fleetwood Mobile Home Industry for many years and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Pearson Ward.  Mr. White enjoyed hunting, fishing, dirt track racing and being with his most treasured blessing, his family, especially his grandchildren.  He was preceded in death, along with his parents, by 2 brothers: Jimmy and Tony White.

 

Survivors include:

 

Wife:  Susan White of Axson, Ga.  

 

Son:  Kevin Wayne White and wife Dana of Douglas, Ga.

 

Daughter:  Tia White of Axson, Ga.

 

Brother:  Rodney White and wife Diane of Axson, Ga.  

 

5 Grandchildren:  Hunter White, Railyn White, Emma White, Brandon Cox, and Kendall White.

 

2 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

 

Funeral services for Mr. White were held on Monday, October 18, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Pearson, Ga. with Bishop Clee Sirmans and Elder Steve Sirmans officiating. Special musical selections included, “I Need Thee Every Hour” and “God Be with You ‘Till We Meet Again” rendered by the congregation with Sis. Tonya Cecil accompanying at the piano.  Soft music for the Prelude and Postlude was provided by pianist, Sis. Tonya Cecil.  The interment followed in Utah Cemetery with dedication of the grave given by Elder Steve Sirmans.

 

Serving as active pallbearers were:  Wayne Davis, Ray Fussell, Lester Cribbs, Roy Lee Hardee, Virgil Bennett and Bishop Clee Sirmans.

 

Relihan Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
