Quincey Roger Fender, age 72, of Nicholls, Georgia passed away on Monday November 1, 2021 at Vista Park Rehabilitation, Douglas, Georgia. Mr. Fender was born on May 4, 1949 in Coffee County, Georgia the son of the late Elmer Fisher & Sarah Catherine Dasher Fender.

 

Mr. Fender worked as a salesman with Lott Builders, Douglas, Georgia and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Fender, granddaughter, Kayla Nicole Kirkland and 2 brothers, Jimmy Fender & Franklin Phillips.

 

Survivors include daughter, Korey Holliday (Jesse) of Nicholls, GA; son, Robert Fender (Sandra) of Waycross, GA; 4 grandchildren, Tony Kevin Kirkland II of Alma, Staci Julieann Kirkland of Waycross, GA, Jasmine Fender of Waycross, GA and Rebecca Fender of Waycross, GA; great granddaughter, Gracie.

 

The family will receive friends Friday evening, November 5, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.  

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Tanner Baptist Church with Rev. Buddy Jordan and Rev. Mike Lee officiating. Cremation will be after services.

 

Attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the coronavirus, including masks and social distancing.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
