Mrs. Bessie F. Paulk, age 97, of Ambrose, Georgia passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at her residence. Mrs. Paulk was born on October 30, 1924, in Douglas, Georgia to Eddie Fussell and Beadie Harper Fussell.

 

Survivors include: Son, Jerry Wayne (Betty) Paulk of Valdosta, GA, Son, Don Ray (Karen) Paulk of Douglas, GA, Son, Doyle (Brenda) Paulk of Ambrose, GA, Sister, Wilma Brigmond of Ambrose, GA, eight Grandchildren; Marsha Willcox, Becky (Jamie) Tate, Angela Paulk, Jenny Paulk, Kari Beth Paulk, Matthew Paulk, Charlotte (Ariel) Ampier, Wayne (Kayla) Paulk; twelve Great Grandchildren, one Great-Great Grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Aubrey Lee Paulk; Father, Eddie Fussell; Mother, Beadie Harper Fussell; four brothers, and four sisters.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 11:00AM, at Mt. Union Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. George Carroll Paulk and Rev. Steve Flowers officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Ben Smith, Justin Anderson, Wayne Paulk, Eli Willcox, Matthew Paulk, Aubrey Paulk, Caleb Cox, and Brian Fussell.

 

The family will receive friends Friday, November 12, 2021 from 6:00PM to 9:00PM at Sims Funeral Home. 

 

Attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the coronavirus, including masks and social distancing.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
