City announces December meetings

The City of Douglas would like to encourage citizens to attend or become a part of various city committees and boards. Currently, there are vacancies on the Ethics Committee, Citizens Advisory Committee, Keep Douglas Beautiful Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, Planning Commission, Downtown Development Authority, Historic Preservation Committee, and Air Base Preservation and Development Committee. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer on one of these boards, please call (912) 389-3405 or visit https://www.cityofdouglasga.gov.

 

The following is a list of December 2021 meetings for City of Douglas Boards and Committees.

 

Downtown Development Authority – December 8, 9AM, Ashley Slater House, 211 S. Gaskin Avenue.

 

Land Bank Authority – December 9, 2PM, Ashley Slater House, 211 S. Gaskin Avenue.

 

Air Base Preservation and Development Committee – December 13, 12PM, at the Douglas Municipal Airport, 440 Elton Brooks Blvd.

 

City Commission – December 13 & 27, 2021, 7PM, at the CE Weir Center, 307 E. Bryan Street.

 

Recreation Commission – December 14, 11:45am, Central Square Complex, 200 S. Madison Avenue.

 

Keep Douglas Beautiful Committee – December 14, 2:30PM, Ashley Slater House, 211 S. Gaskin Avenue.

 

Veterans Park Committee – December 15, 10am, Douglas Municipal Airport, 440 Elton Brooks Blvd.

 

Citizens Advisory Committee – December 15, 6PM, Youth Center, 200F S. Madison Avenue.

 

Douglas Mayor’s Youth Council – No meeting in December

 

Planning Commission – December 16, 6PM, Ashley Slater House, 211 S. Gaskin Avenue.
