Linda Faye Hersey, age 70, of Nicholls, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, January 27,2022, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Hersey was born on January 31, 1931, in Coffee County, GA, to the late Alex Melvin Simmons and Lilly Louise Davis Simmons.

 

Survivors include: Husband; James C. Hersey, Three Daughters; Amanda Garrett (Ben) of Alma, GA, Angela Holden (Jon) of Watkinsvillie, GA, Nichole Dale (Ryan) of Douglas, GA, Son; Mark Hersey (Christina) of Douglas, GA, Nine Grandchildren; Paige Holden, Avery Holden, Carli Garrett, Sophia Carr, Nathaniel Carr, Emma Carr, Braylee Dale, Jayden Hersey, Willow Hersey, Brother; Jimmy Simmons (Denise) of Alma, GA, Sister; Wanell Nails (Johnny) of Nicholls, GA. Mrs. Hersey was preceded in death by a Brother; Weems Simmons.

 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 30, 2022, from 1:00PM until 2:00PM, at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at 2:00PM, at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Darby officiating.

 

Memorialization will be by cremation.

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all customers, guests, and attendees to wear medical grade masks at all times while in our facility, as well as social distancing. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, however the safety of our staff and those we serve are our primary concern. Masks will not be provided.
