Johnson Funeral & Cremation Services announces the funeral service for Eston Verdayne “Pap” Hutto, Jr., age 64, of Douglas, who passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022.

Visitation will be Monday 6-9 PM at Johnson Funeral & Cremation Services.  Services will be at 11 AM Tuesday, May 17, 2022 in the First Assembly Church. 

Rev. Cliff Kirkland, Rev. Jimmy Tanner & Rev. Marshall Adcock will officiate with burial in the Sand Hill Church Cemetery.

Mr. Hutto was born in Jacksonville, Florida.  He was the son of the late Eston Verdayne Hutto Sr. & Lucille Nipper Hutto.

He was preceded in death by brothers: Kenny Hutto & Glenn Hutto.  Mr. Hutto was a self employed construction worker and was a member of the First Assembly Church.

Survivors include: Wife: Mary Jo Carithers Hutto of Douglas; Sons & Daughters-in-law: Allen Hutto (Gail) of West Green, T. J. Hutto (Cindy) of Douglas; Sister: Barbara Crosby of Douglas; Brothers & Sister-in-law: Melvin Hutto (Hazel) of Douglas,  Chris Sanders of West Green & Sputt Tucker of Broxon; Grandchildren: Chad Hutto, Andrew Hutto & Kaylin Leavens all of Douglas, Tanner Summerlin of West Green, Ashlee Summerlin of Tifton, Kristin Merritt of Rincon; Great-grandchildren: Daryl & Kreia Leavens of Douglas; Several nieces & nephews also survive.

Music is rendered by: Cliff Kirkland & Marshall Adcock.

Active pallbearers are: Chad Hutto, Andrew Hutto, Kenneth Barwick, Carl Wilson, Steve Sapp, Duane Bishop, Fred Cole & Andy Fussell.

Honorary: Jason Tanner.

Johnson Funeral & Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.
