Mrs. Martha Ann Powell Keck, age 88 years old, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, in Rockledge, Florida. She passed peacefully surrounded by the love of her family and friends.

Martha Ann was born in Atkinson County, Georgia on August 12, 1934. She was a graduate of Atkinson County High School in Pearson, Georgia, and continued her education at Valdosta State University where she met her late husband Franklin D. Keck.

Martha Ann is survived by her daughter; Jennifer K. Powell and husband George of Rockledge, FL, her son, Byron Keck, and wife Shelia and her two grandchildren, Gunnar and Emma of Melbourne, FL.   She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Keck.

Martha and Frank were married in 1953 and moved to Eau Gallie, Florida in 1956. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church for over fifty years, where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, and sat on various committees.

Funeral services for Mrs. Keck were held on Thursday, December 9, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Live Oak Church in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. Lori Miller officiating.  Special musical selections included, “Precious Memories”, “My Hope is Built on Nothing Else”, and “How Great Thou Art” all rendered by cd.  The interment followed in Live Oak Cemetery.

Serving as active pallbearers were:  George Powell, Gunnar Keck, Paul Chandler, and Derrick Powell.

Martha was a friend to everyone she met and loved to entertain. She was known for her love of life, people, and the Lord. She enjoyed cooking, painting, dancing, and singing, but her greatest joy in life was her family. She was dearly loved and will be missed by her family and friends.

Relihan Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
