Gary E. Copeland, age 65, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. Mr. Copeland was born on December 24, 1956, in Bibb County, GA to Eva Jo Reed.
Survivors include: Wife: Brenda Jean Smith Copeland of Douglas, GA, Four Daughters, One Sister, Brother in law, Sister in law and several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Jo Reed.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Sims Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 2:00PM at Living Waters Worship (Shiloh) with Pastor Jackie Smith, Lay Minister Maxwell Smith and Minister Bruce McLaughlin and Lay Minister Janice McLaughlin officiating. Interment will follow at the Douglas City Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Nathaniel Vaughn, Jared Wade, Hinnon Smith, Harry Andrew, Dustin Kitchens and Brandon McMillan. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jamey Brown, Cecil Copeland, Les Simmons, Randy Wilkes, Kenneth Peek, Travis Jameson and Chad Kitchens.
