Defensive tackle Kentavius Street has signed a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.

A Douglas native, Street is four-year NFL veteran; he’s played three seasons with the San Francisco 49ers and one, last year, with the New Orleans Saints.

He’s joining a team he helped defeat last year. He was an impact player in the Saints’ 20-10 win over the Eagles last season. Philadelphia’s front office and coaching staff took notice. When the Eagles needed to strengthen their defensive front, they called on Street.

Last year with New Orleans, Street totaled 29 tackles, five tackles for a loss, 3.5 sacks, and eight quarterback hits. For his career, Street has played in 52 games (four starts) and tallied 71 total tackles (37 solo, 34 assisted, and 13 tackles for a loss).

Street joins a Philadelphia line anchored by former Georgia Bulldog Jordan Davis and Fletcher Cox. Street is expected to be in the defensive line rotation with Marlon Tuipulotu, Noah Elliss, and Marvin Wilson.
