Patrick Emanual Jackson, 34, who was out of jail on bond on illegal drug charges, is back in jail after detectives discovered large quantities of suspected illegal drugs at his home, according to the incident report. The investigation ended up at his home as a result of a traffic stop.

On April 19, 2023, drug unit detectives conducted a traffic stop in Douglas. Jackson was a passenger in the vehicle and detectives knew he had an outstanding probation warrant, according to an incident report. The report also states that detectives knew that Jackson had been allegedly selling drugs from his home on Otto Circle.

Once the detectives confirmed the warrant, they attempted to arrest Jackson. The report states that Jackson resisted and became violent toward the officers. He attempted to run away but detectives tased him. Jackson fell to the ground but continued to be combative as officers tried to take him into

custody, the report states. The detectives were able to get him under control then went to his home to search his residence.

When they arrived at Jackson’s home, another deputy arrived to take Jackson to jail. The officers attempted to search Jackson again; they believed that he had illegal drugs in his groin area. During the search, they found a $1 bill filed in the front pocket of his pants. Inside the bill was suspected cocaine.

A deputy transported Jackson to the jail where he was searched again. This time, officers found cocaine in his groin area. The report states that Jackson began resisting and trying to destroy the cocaine, to the point he ate a quantity of the drug. Officers were able to collect most of the drugs. Jackson was medically cleared as well.

While officers at the jail were dealing with Jackson, those on the scene at his home found large quantities of suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, ecstasy, and marijuana. They also found a gun, a digital scale, and a white powdery substance officers believed to be a mixing agent used when cutting cocaine. The methamphetamine and cocaine field tested positive for those drugs.

Jackson was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, two counts of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, two counts of felony obstruction of an officer, crossing guard lines with drugs, and tampering with evidence.

Jackson remains in the Coffee County Jail.
