Joe Clearance Dockery, age 82, of Broxton, GA passed away on Thursday, May 18,2023 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Dockery was born on February 27, 1941, in Coffee County, GA to the late John and Eula Lee Douglas Dockery.

 

 

Survivors include: Wife; Sandra Gayle Stallings Dockery of Broxton, GA, Two Sons; Dr. Jeffery Joe (Lorrell) Dockery of Broxton, GA, Brad (Rhonda) Dockery of Broxton, GA, A Daughter whom he raised; Melinda (Jearrell) Vickers of Ambrose, GA, Six Grandchildren; Thomas Joe Dockery, Zackery Joe Dockery, Avelyn Dockery, Brady Dockery, Abby Dockery, Christy Vickers Five Sisters; Myrtle Carr of Atlanta, GA, Mabel Kersey of Broxton, GA, Maxine (Jason) Gregory of West Green, GA, Harriett (Ron)Wilkinson of Clarksville, GA, Helen Jones of Broxton, GA, One Brother; J.W. Dockery of Broxton, GA, and several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

 

 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 6:00 PM until 9:00PM, at Sims Funeral Home.

 

 

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at 4:00 PM, at Reedy Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Joel Auger and Rev. B.J. Holliday officiating. The interment will follow at Reedy Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Joey Burch, Archie Rish Sr., Austin Medders, Brady Dockery, Zachery Dockery, and Thomas Dockery. Honorary Pallbearers will be: The Deacons at Reedy Branch Baptist Church.

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
