Johnson Funeral & Cremation Services announces the memorial service for Alton Leonard Thrift, age 66, of Douglas who passed away Friday, May 19, 2023.
Visitation will be 10 am to 11 am Monday, May 22, 2023, at Morningside Baptist Church. The memorial service will begin at 11:00 AM at Morningside Baptist Church. Pastor Kevin Bounds will officiate. Music is rendered by: Amber Bounds.
Mr. Thrift was born in Waycross, Georgia. He was the son of the late William David Thrift & Vera Euvon Strikland Thrift. Mr. Thrift was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Elizabeth Douglas Thrift. He was retired from The Ice Cream Company.
Survivors include: Daughter: Nicole Christian (Luke) of Milton; Son: David Thrift (Amber) of Nicholls; Daughter: Lori Peterson (Randall) of Douglas; Grandchildren: EmmaKate Dobbins Christian of Woodstock, Dakota Thrift of Nicholls, Abbigail Thrift of Nicholls, Rhys Peterson of Douglas, Carter Christian of Milton, Lawson Peterson of Douglas, Powell Christian of Milton, Sadie Peterson of Douglas, Colette Christian of Milton; Brothers: Bruce Thrift (Melinda) of Waycross & Matt Thrift (Sylvia) of Waycross.
