Duane George Carr, age 83, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mr. Carr was born on May 14, 1940, in Sacramento, CA to the late Robert Carr and the late Dorothy Aletta Crump Carr.

 

 

Survivors include: Two Sons: Duane Randall (Genie) Carr of Nicholls, GA and Robert Steven (Courtney) Carr of Douglas, GA. One Daughter: Delaine Carr (Tim) Deaton of Hazlehurst, GA. Six Grandchildren: Amanda Holton, Andrew  (Katie) Anderson, Malinda Carr, Carissa Carr, Gracie Carr, Tucker Carr, Several Great Grandchildren. One Sister: Dee Dee (Carmichael) Bishop of CA. Two Brothers: John Carr of Elk Grove, CA and Vernon Carr of CA. Mr. Carr was preceded in death by: Wife: Sylvia McCallum Carr, Father: Robert Milton Carr, Mother: Dorothy Aletta Crump Carr, and a Daughter: Cindy Renee Carr.

 

 

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 2:00pm at Sims Chapel Home with Elder Walter DeLoach officiating. Interment followed at Douglas City Cemetery.
