On July 16, a deputy responded to a call made by Heather Whitley, 50, claiming that a family member was allegedly beating her. When deputies arrived, she reported that this family member was not allowing her to eat and had beaten her with some type of board.

As stated on the incident report, she told the deputy that the relative had hit her on the back. After observing the area where she claimed to have been struck, the deputy did not see any visible marks to support her claims. After further discussion with the deputies on scene, Whitley stated the family member had actually only hit her with a glove earlier in the day.

Reportedly, one of the deputies was made aware by 911 that this was the fourth time Whitley had used the 911 line in the last 30 days. It was discovered that there were no findings to any of the claims made on the previous calls.

According to the report, the deputies spoke with the family member. The relative informed the deputy this was not the first time she had reported the alleged false claims that they had beaten her. The relative also stated that Whitley suffered from other issues and needed medication. The family member stated that no physical contact had been made towards Whitley.

The relative stated that Whitley came to the residence and asked for money to buy cigarettes. The relative gave her $5 and told her to leave. The relative was cooking at the time and Whitley was upset, the report states, that they wouldn’t give her anything to eat. The relative said that they had planned to take her some food later on.

Officers arrested Whitley and charged her with unlawful conduct during 911 calls and making a false report. She was transported to the Coffee County Jail but has since been released.
