Coffee Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is pleased to welcome the mothers-to-be of Dr. Mahendra Amin, beginning Sept. 1, 2023, for labor and delivery care.

The highly trained labor and delivery care team at CRMC provides compassionate, family-focused maternity services that prioritize comfort and safety for expecting mothers and their new babies. The spacious, newly remodeled birthing unit at CRMC comfortably accommodates families in a quiet and relaxed atmosphere during this important time.

CRMC offers mothers-to-be flexible options during labor. The labor and delivery care team evaluates each patient-centered birth plan and does its best to accommodate those plans, with the delivering physician’s support, while keeping patient safety at the forefront of each delivery. Immediate skin-to-skin time between the mother and the newborn and lactation consultations are encouraged with each delivery. An experienced, physician-led anesthesia team provides 24-hour pain management care to ensure pain relief needs are met, monitored, and optimized.

Expectant mothers can prepare for their upcoming deliveries by attending various informative sessions offered at no cost by CRMC. These sessions, led by perinatal instructor Laree Vickers, RN, CLC, include Childbirth Class, Breastfeeding Basics (for expecting mothers), and Basic Newborn Care. The classes require an appointment to ensure room and materials are available to accommodate the course. To learn more, sign up for the class, or request a private tour or virtual option, email Donna.Vickers@coffeeregional.org or call (912) 384-1900, Dial 9 + extension 2392.
