Mr. Donald Kenneth “Ken” Rickerson, age 54 of Broxton, GA passed away on August 4, 2023 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Rickerson was born January 20, 1969 to Donald Rickerson and Chris Dukes Metts. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Amelia Davis and a special friend Lauren Burke; his paternal grandparents, Ivey and Thelma Ricketson and his maternal grandparents, Otis Dukes and Nellie Godwin Dukes.
Mr. Rickerson, a native of Coffee County, was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also loved his horses and all of his animals as if they were his children.

The family will receive friends on Sunday evening, August 6, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 7, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Kirkland officiating. The Interment will follow at Satilla Memorial Gardens with Rev. Loy Burkett presiding at the committal service.
Music will be furnished by CD “Mama Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys”, “Happy Trails” and “Never Not Remember You” by Cooper Alan.
Active Pallbearers for the service will be: Buzz Kight, Ronnie Snipes, Bryan Strickland, Trampas Adams, Chris Shelton and Gary Harper.
