Coffee Regional Medical Center (CRMC) has named paramedic Dell Atkins as its BEE Award winner for the second quarter of the year.

Dell is an experienced paramedic with CRMC EMS. Dell received two outstanding nominations this quarter from her teammates. After responding to a severe motor vehicle accident with multiple critical injuries, her professionalism and leadership resulted in this nomination. Her team shared, “She is a prime example of what great leadership is for EMS. After the call, she went to each crew member involved in that scene to personally checked on them. She truly is an inspiration and a great role model to younger, upcoming medics. She is a great example of what CRMC stands for.” Her next nomination shared, in part, “She has influenced many up-and-coming students of the EMS profession through being the epitome of hard work and dedication mixed with knowledge that is ever growing and shaping to influence better outcomes of patients entrusted to her care in the field.”

CRMC is grateful to have Dell on its team as a first responder here in Coffee County and proud to recognize and honor her in this way. Please join CRMC in congratulating her and thanking her for her service to the community.

CRMC is proud to honor staff members recognized by patients, patient families, and co-workers for their outstanding work. It truly takes teamwork when it comes to quality patient care, and Coffee Regional Medical Center recognizes that. The BEE Award was established to recognize the extraordinary work of non-nursing staff. This award complements the DAISY Award, which recognizes outstanding service and care by our nursing staff.

All non-nursing Coffee Regional Medical Center staff members qualify for the BEE Award. Nominations are gathered each month and awarded every quarter. Members of the BEE Award committee choose the award recipient. Each honoree receives a certificate: “This award is proudly presented in recognition of going BEE-yond in showing our patients & visitors an Exceptional Experience here at Coffee Regional Medical Center.” Additionally, honorees receive a unique BEE Award pin for their badge, a $50 gift certificate, and a reception with their colleagues featuring freshly made honey buns as a sweet treat.

If you would like to nominate a Coffee Regional Medical Center staff member for the Bee Award, visit www.CoffeeRegional.org/Bee. If you want to nominate a nurse for the Daisy Award, visit www.CoffeeRegional.org/Daisy.
