Mr. Floyd Elton Smith, age 88 of Douglas, passed away Friday morning, October 27, 2023 at Coffee Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Smith was born January 27, 1935 to the late Floyd Smith and the late Annie Mae Harrison Smith. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Ria Lee Bowman Smith and his second wife, Marie Allen Smith along with 4 children: Margaret Elaine Fletcher, Gary Hendrix Smith, Crystal Gail Smith and Darrell Smith and 4 Sisters: Odell McEachin, Odessa Pair, Verma Roberts and EucaLee Bass.
Mr. Smith, a native of Jeff Davis County, had been a truck driver for the mobile home industry. He was a member of Southview Church of God.

A number of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
The family will receive friends Monday evening, October 30, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 PM at Southview Church of God with Rev. Byron Griffis officiating. The interment will follow at Calvary Full Gospel Cemetery near West Green.
The active pallbearers for the service will be: Kyle Smith, Steve Grantham, Rodney Elton Smith, Jr., Gabe Smith, Tyler Smith and Marcus Tillman.
Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
