Mrs. Berma Jean DuBose Ridgeway, age 85 of Fitzgerald, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Vista Park Health and Rehabilitation Center in Douglas, GA. Mrs. Ridgeway was born July 16, 1938 in Jacksonville, GA to the late William Vance DuBose and the late Estelle Wells DuBose. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Russell Ridgeway; and 2 sisters: Gloria D. Watson and Juanita D. Stalvey.
Mrs. Ridgeway served on the Ben Hill County Hospital Authority and she was the owner and operator of Ridgeway Sewing Center in Fitzgerald, GA from 1993 to 1997. Mrs. Ridgeway attended Fitzgerald Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include:
2 Sisters: Reba D. Bunce, and husband David of Goodlettsville, TN, and
Ruby D. Welch of Mt. Juliet, TN.
Memorialization will be by cremation. A private interment will be held at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald, GA.
