Megan Rabun named new DDA Executive Director

The Downtown Development Authority of Douglas is pleased to announce the appointment of Megan Rabun as its new Executive Director. A native of Douglas and a proud graduate of Coffee High School, Megan not only brings a wealth of experience to the position but a deep commitment to the community.

 

 

 

Megan earned her Bachelor of Science in Rural Economic Development from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, and for nearly 6 years, she has been an integral part of the Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Authority. During her tenure at the Chamber, Megan has served in various capacities ranging from marketing to membership to organizing leadership programs.

                

 

 

Expressing her enthusiasm for the new role, Megan Rabun stated, “I am thrilled for the opportunity to serve my community in this important role. Our downtown is truly exceptional, and I am honored to be selected as the advocate for its continued growth. I look forward to working with the DDA board and our many community partners as we work to ensure that Downtown Douglas continues to thrive.”

 

 

 

Megan’s dedication to the community extends beyond her professional life. She is married to Luke Rabun, and together, they are raising two boys. They are active members of Carver Baptist Church, and Megan serves on the board of Families Together.

 

 

 

The Downtown Development Authority of Douglas, Georgia looks forward to the energy and expertise Megan brings to the organization. As Executive Director, she will play a crucial role in fostering economic development, enhancing the downtown area, and supporting local businesses.

 

 

 

The Downtown Development Authority works to ensure the continued economic progress of the downtown district by using the Main Street approach to revitalization. The DDA values historic preservation, beatification, and enhancing downtown Douglas through active community involvement and public/private partnerships. The DDA works to encourage the attraction of quality vibrant businesses and create a magnet drawing locals and visitors to the Downtown District for shopping, dining, entertainment and services.
