Less than two weeks after arrest on drug charges, 54-year-old Douglas man arrested again

Less than two weeks after being arrested on methamphetamine charges, Julian Roberson, 54, of Douglas, was arrested again – this time for allegedly shoplifting from Walmart.

 

 

According to an incident report from the Douglas Police Department, on January 14, 2024 just before 9 p.m., an officer responded to a shoplifting in progress call at Walmart. A store representative told the officer than an individual, identified as Roberson, was at self-checkout skip scanning items. As the officer approached Roberson, the report says he attempted to leave the store. The officer asked Roberson to go with him for questioning.

 

 

The items involved included a large ribeye steak, a single beer, sugar, a 12 pack of Yoo Hoo, and other household items.

 

 

After speaking with Roberson at the store, he was arrested and transported to the Coffee County Jail. He was later released.

 

 

On January 3, 2024, Roberson, along with Jeremy Noyes, 44, after drug detectives noticed them loading a riding lawnmower into a Toyota Camry on the 206 Connector. During the investigation, a bag of suspected methamphetamine fell out of Roberson’s pocket. Roberson said the suspected methamphetamine belong to Noyes. In the end, both were arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine.

 

 

Roberson was released but Noyes remained in jail. He is still incarcerated.
