A Coffee County deputy arrested and charged two people with maintaining a disorderly house after receiving three calls from the location within an hour.

According to a report from the sheriff’s office, a deputy responded to a report of a possible domestic dispute on Basswood Road. When he arrived, he spoke with the complainant, Maria Sanchez, 32, who said that her roommate, Jesus Perez, 25, had threatened her. The report says the deputy spoke with Perez, who said that Sanchez threatened him. The deputy told the two to look at different living arrangements if they couldn’t get along, the report says.

The officer then left the home without issuing any citations or making any arrests. The report says that by the time he made it back to Douglas, he received another call referencing more alleged threats at the same house. This time, the report says, the calls came from Perez. He said that Sanchez had threatened him after the officer left. After speaking with Sanchez, the officer determined that no threats had been made. He told them they needed to go their separate ways and left again.

A short time later, Perez called again, the report says. The officer returned to the home for the third time within an hour and spoke with Perez and Sanchez one more time. After talking with them, he arrested both and charged them with maintaining a disorderly house. Both were booked into the Coffee County Jail and later released.
