Writer-director Sidney Bryant Sr. and ONE Compelling Picture (OCP) has set the cast for “The Last Call – Because You Answered” and “The Voice – When Eyes Can’t See,” his latest two films set for Amazon Prime and Tubi  in 2025, the production company announced on Thursday, June 6, 2024.

Sonya Moore-Roper and Dustilynn Vaughan, both members of the Douglas Coffee County community, will star in “The Last Call-Because You Answered.” Athena Gracen (Moore-Roper) is trapped in a car accident, frantically calling 911 for help. 911 dispatcher Cathy Willows (Vaughan) answers and listens as Athena shares her fears. Athena’s vulnerability deeply impacts Cathy, who is moved by her strength and resilience. In a moment of divine intervention, Athena’s words of faith and hope touch Cathy’s heart. As the rescue team arrives, Cathy sees this encounter as a reminder of God’s love in dark times. Athena becomes a beacon of hope, guiding others back to God’s love. Production for this film will begin June 13, 2024 in Douglas.

Randy Murray, former Coffee High School’s NJROTC Master Sergeant, will star alongside writer and director Sidney Bryant Sr. in “The Voice-When Eyes Can’t See.” Attorney Jake Lindsey, a skeptic of higher powers, faces a crisis when he must take control of a plane after the pilot loses consciousness mid-flight. In a moment of desperation, he receives guidance from Calvin Presley (Bryant), an unknown voice over the radio, leading him to safety. Through this experience, Jake learns the importance of listening, trusting, and obeying, realizing the value of believing in the voice of God in times of uncertainty. Production for this film is set to begin July 1, 2024. The company also announced Brian A. Ray, a theater professor at ABAC and a long-time actor of OCP, as the assistant director for “The Voice – When Eyes Can’t See,” making him the first to ever hold this position with OCP.

“The Last Call – Because You Answered” and “The Voice – When Eyes Can’t See” will mark the third and fourth of OCP’s creative partnership with The Faith and Film Coalition (FFCC). The FFCC was organized by Bryce Carver and Sidney Bryant Sr. over the last four years as a means of collaborating with locals to produce the faith-based films with budgets under $10,000. “Grace to Forgive” was the first film under this collaboration and has successfully gone on to several streaming platforms including Amazon Prime and Tubi. The FFCC and OCP have pledged to continue producing movies here in Georgia and to continue to re-invest portions of the films’ revenue back into the For Coffee initiative, which “is a heart posture – a decision to champion and support the businesses in our community, to actively invest in the next generation, to steward our resources in a way that benefits our neighbors as well as our family, to fight for our marriages and advocate for the voiceless, and to believe that Coffee County is at its best when its residents feel proud to live her,” as stated by GracePointe Church in Douglas.

Through the FFCC’s efforts, the faith-based movies have been supported by over 30 businesses, 12 churches, two colleges, and seven cities. The FFCC is growing every year and will soon have its 501c3 status completed.
