In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, our community is facing unimaginable challenges. The storm has left many without water and power, creating an overwhelming sense of uncertainty and distress. It’s heartbreaking to see neighbors struggling to return to their homes and local gatherings that once brought joy and connection. During these times, it’s essential to lean on one another and remember that we are not alone in our struggles. Together, we can find solace and strength as we navigate this difficult period.

To foster that sense of community and support, several local churches are coming together to host a special community service this Sunday at 6:30 PM, directly behind the C.E. Weir Center. This event is a heartfelt invitation for all of us to unite in worship and prayer, offering a space where we can share our burdens and uplift one another. With multiple pastors leading prayers and local vocalists filling the air with songs of hope, this gathering aims to remind us that there is beauty in our resilience and power in our unity. It’s a chance to come together as one, even amidst the chaos.

As we prepare for this evening of togetherness, the organizers kindly ask attendees to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating, as seating may be limited. Your presence will not only support those who are grieving their losses but also strengthen the bonds within our community. If you are interested in participating or need further details, please reach out to Kia Bryant at 855-588-4977 Ext. 201. Let’s come together to heal, support one another, and reaffirm our commitment to rebuilding our beloved community after Hurricane Helene.
