A 20-year-old Douglas man was arrested at the Dollar General on Highway 32 West after he was allegedly seen pleasuring himself in a Nissan Altima in the parking lot.

According to an incident report from the sheriff’s office, a store employee told deputies that she had received several phone calls from people stating that there was a man in the parking lot committing the indecent act. A deputy spoke with a witness who stated that she had seen the individual, identified as Tyree Anjoris Cooper, 20, of Douglas, clearing pleasuring himself in the front seat of the car, the report says. The witness felt uncomfortable, the report says, and she left the store. Then she called the store and reported what she had seen.

A deputy spoke with Cooper, who was still on the scene. According to the report, Cooper gave three different accounts of what he was doing at the store – he was getting a tire changed (JMC Tire was across the road but closed at the time), he was waiting for his uncle to bring him some money, then he said he was at the store to buy a gas jug. The report says that he never went in the store.

Cooper also denied that he was doing anything indecent in the car. However, given the eyewitness accounts, he was arrested and charged with public indecency. Cooper was taken to the Coffee County Jail.
